Pound Pound Pound(###)

This up and coming producer/dj duo, hailing from west Lafayette Indiana, are taking over the Midwest. In their first year of storming the EDM scene ### (pronounced Pound Pound Pound) has opened for Vibesquad, Krewella, Midnight Conspiracy, Cenob1te, Ghost House, and other awesome acts. ### has been spinning for a couple years but in 2012 they started focusing on original production. You can expect multiple individual releases and at least two e.p.’s this year. Not only are these guys putting out crazy originals and remixes like the one they did of Clique with FootwoRk, but their live show is one full of energy and bass all the way through. These guys are doing some big things this year so keep them on your radar! Are you down to pound?

Team Bayside High

Team Bayside High are a duo from hailing from Chicago currently putting out freaky bass music on Teenage Riot Records. Their combination of heavy sub bass, complex rhythms and melodies have been taking over dance floors by storm leaving audiences scrambling for more. Rising from a metal background, these multi-instrumentalists are bringing a fresh perspective to the world of dance music breaking tempo and genre barriers, fusing together an all encompassing audio assault. Team Bayside High is rapidly on the rise after completing several national tours, and standout festival appearances such as Lollapalooza and North Coast Music Festival. With multiple tracks breaching the top 5 in Hypem charts and receiving tons of support from some of the bigger artists in the bass game, stay tuned for Team Bayside Highs newest record being in Spring 2013.

Kill Paris

Corey Baker aka Kill Paris has been scorching the internet blogesphere this summer. Receiving support from A-Trak, Dillon Francis, Flux Pavilion, and Skrillex. Kill Paris’s focus has been on giving his music away for free and make it easier for people to share with others. He just had his own “name your own price” album release on killparis.bandcamp.comcall “The Beginning (2012)” His also soundcloud features 23 songs that anyone can download for free. Being an Ableton Certified Trainer, his software of choice is Ableton Live. Live shows consist of 90 percent originals and remixes. Corey is currently sharing the stage all over the US with the likes of Pretty Lights, Zion I, Mimosa, AraabMuzik, Whiskey Pete, Figure, Mac Miller, Infected Mushroom, & Nicky Romero to name a few.

Dov is the person behind Muti Music, a selector at heart, compulsively picking tunes for record labels and for your dancing / listening pleasure. He produces various bassline centric music,  downtempo, midtempo and uptempo Dubstep, Drumstep, Glitch Hop, Breaks and whatever catches his fancy in the future, also receiving accolades for collaborations with ill.Gates, An-ten-nae and Funk Monsta. His sound when performing represents that of a whole movement of young producers coming out on his Muti Music imprint and adds directions that you know are going to emerge more in the future. Known for his energetic sets that delve as hard into a tranquil interlude as they do into bassline drops and glitched out frenzies. The sounds to be expected from Dov are always elevated and emotional, whether downtempo or peak time uptempo in super-clubs, his diversity and experience have prepared him for the job.

Sound Remedy

Sound Remedy is an American electronic music producer based out of Los Angeles, California. Hailing from Chicago, SR has been crafting his sound since the young age of 16, but only started to produce music fulltime 2 years ago. Despite obtaining a degree in finance from one of the nation’s elite business schools, SR opted to take a risk and pursue his true passion; music. Being that both of his parents are graduates of Juilliard School of Music and full time Chicago Symphony Orchestra players, this decision may have been in the cards all along.

When it comes down to all the press and hype, his name says it all. He is Worthy. With an in-depth knowledge of production, mixing, and performance, Worthy has the insight to play for his audience, cultivating intense positive energy on the dance floor that can only be portrayed as superhuman. His sound can be described as organic breakbeats with a mix of future house, 80s, booty bass, and techno. As Carl Cox said, “The Worthy sound has always been powerful, rocking, funky, bass-driven music at its best, and for me this is the new wave in house music.” Worthy has received the recognition of major producers who have played his tracks including Sven Vath, Diplo, and Richie Hawtin, among many.

Amine Edge & DANCE

Born in 1983 in South of France, Amine Edge was House, DANCE was Hip Hop. Together they mash their experience, mood and style to create their own style “G-House”, Amine Edge & DANCE are knows in France as one of the symbolic figures of the brand new “G House” movement. Basically called “Gangsta House”, the name of this movement comes from the special atmosphere this music just kicks away: here comes another vision of the House music, a stunning combination between Funk’s deep basses and inspired by the latest 80s Hip House movement. So far, 2012 was a great year. Released on Exploited, Noir, Rekids, Nurvous, FFRR (Pete Tong) or 2diy4 thanks to the legendary Going To Heaven With The Goodie-Goodies. Amine Edge & DANCE are one of major artists in deep-house industry. Recently, Mark Knight himself invited Amine Edge & DANCE as Guest on his radioshow. At work for his own imprint « CUFF » or in homestudio for the fourthcoming album released on Get Physical and releases stuff in OFF Recordings & Hot Creation. 2013 will be very busy for the Bad Boys of Marseille.

Knight Riderz

Canadian-based producer Nick Samalack, performing as Knight Riderz which was originally formed as a duo, hails from Edmonton, AB but spends most of his time traveling the United States, rocking crowds. Once a mainstay as a Drum n’ Bass MC in the early 2000s, Samalack continued to expand his interest in bass music and found Knight Riderz. Strongly influenced by jungle and hip-hop, Samalack dove head first into the art of product ion wit h no limit at ion on genre or style….and Knight Riderz was born.With the musical creation of Knight Riderz, Samalack, began pushing boundaries with techniques, which is what distinguishes this project and his unique live performances from others. As Knight Riderz, Samalack delivers high energy sets composed of entirely original compositions that are accompanied by cutting edge dance rhythms and dance floor-targeted bass lines.

Doombahton — In a matter of one short year, Texas producer LeDoom has managed to push the boundaries of dance music with his signature approach to producing tracks in the moombahton genre. This versatile and prolific young artist has already gained support from the likes of DJs and producers such as Knife Party,Dillon Francis, DJ Craze, Tittsworth, Nadastrom and Munchi, Kissy Sell Out, Bro Safari to name a few, all proponents of their own unique bass-driven styles. Their stamps of approval reveal LeDoom’s power as a genre-bending tastemaker. With his first EP “Doombah”, released on the El Cuco Recordings imprint, LeDoom managed to chart at #5 on the Beatport Indie Dance charts and earn the respect of gigging DJs, fellow producers and the electronic music community at large. Fast forward a few short months and LeDoom has consistently released quality new music with Mad Decent, T & A Records, Party Like Us and Play Me Records, Slow Roast Records, continually charting in the Beatport Top 100 across various genres. For over a decade, ill-esha has been an integral part of the North American electronic scene. Beginning as a vocalist, she soon added MCing and DJing to her repertoire, creating a dynamic and unique live show which has headlined alongside artists such as Andy C, Klute, Dieselboy, Vibesquad, LTJ Bukem, Tipper, T- Power & De La Soul. She has performed across North America, Europe and Asia; in clubs, at festivals, and even on TV shows on MTV Canada and the CBC. In 2001 her first 12” single was released on New York label Breakbeat Science; since then ill-esha has worked steadily as a producer and vocalist on labels like Dub Police, Haunted Audio, Simplify & Muti Music; hitting #1 singles download on Juno and commanding six spots of the top ten in the inaugural Beatport Glitch Hop charts. One of the founding members of the premier online community, her remixes are hugely popular, popping up in DJ sets across the globe. Her show is a fiery combination of original beats, glitch edits and live vocals, not to be missed!

Moombaton production & DJ two-piece Sazon Booya (click here) made up of NYC natives Mr.Vega & DJ SAV, have been making substantial waves across the blogosphere with their original moombahton productions since the beginning of 2011, and they’ve received countless nods of respect from top tier tastemakers from around the globe ever since.Sazon Booya debuted their first track “IIuvia” via moombahton creator Dave Nada’s soundcloud and website, to much success; instantly gaining play support from Munchi, Heartbreak, DJ Sabo, Obeyah, Skrillex, Boyfriend, Fellow and of course Dave Nada himself.

gLAdiator is a DJ/Production duo from Los Angeles comprised of Danl Goodman and Ian Johnson. The two have established themselves as heavy hitters in the Trap/Bass-music game and show no signs of slowing down.
